PLAAY Academy: POLICY, LEADERSHIP & ADVOCACY FOR YOUTH
This quarter, PLAAY Academy brought young people together for five weeks of learning about community organizing, policy, and advocacy. At graduation, each participant put those lessons into practice with a three-minute elevator pitch.
Thank you to the guest speakers who invested their time and experience in our youth. We’re also grateful to Build & Rebuild for providing space throughout the academy and to the Boys & Girls Club for sponsoring the graduation. Your support helped create a place for young people to learn, speak up, and grow as leaders.
Meet the 2026 Progeny Kansas Power Fellows
As we enter a new season, we’re proud to welcome this year’s fellows: Marquan Teetz, Rawhese Love, Dorothy Arnold, T’Onia Avery, Marshea Rivers and Christian Jones
Marquan and Rawhese recently returned from Philadelphia, where they attended the George Jackson Organizing School. Their learning focused on community organizing and base building, and we’re excited for them to bring that knowledge into the fellowship.
